Welcome!
Every year, we are blessed with a group of new music teachers to the state. Some are recent graduates and others are teachers with experience in other states who have moved to Arizona. One way or another, we would like to say WELCOME! and let us know if we can be of any assistance to you.
Of course, you undoubtedly have many questions. While this page obviously cannot provide all the answers, it is our hope that it is a start to getting some of the answers you need. Please feel free to contact AMEA if you have any other questions we might be able to help you with.
We are all working towards the same goals, so don’t hesitate to contact anyone. You’ll find a caring, professional, and brilliant group of people who are always willing to help. You just need to take the first step by contacting one of these educators.
Special interests in the Arizona Music Educators are represented by four constituent organizations:
- Arizona Band and Orchestra Directors Association (ABODA)
- Choral Directors of Arizona (ChoDA)
- Arizona Society of General Music (AzSGM)
- Arizona Collegiate Music Educators (ACME)
Each offers unique and valuable assistance to music teachers in each area. Contact any of the officers of these organizations if you have any questions of any kind: http://www.azmea.org/leadership/.
If you have specific questions not answered here, please contact the AMEA Vice President of Professional Development:
